Synopsis: A man wakes, trembling from a restless nightmare sleep. He seeks the aid of Dr. Strange to help the nightmares stop. Dr. Strange tells the man he will solve the problem from inside his dreams. Before aiding the man, Strange takes to his ectoplasmic state and visits his mentor, the Master, aka the Ancient One, who encourages him that he can meet all obstacles by using his magic amulet.

Later that night, Dr. Strange penetrates the dreamscape of the man who sought his help. He meets a cloaked spirit in chains who informs him that the man deserves this punishment. At this time, a figure on horseback rides into view. It is Nightmare, and he tells Dr. Strange that all living beings who enter the nightmare world must die! The man realizes that Dr. Strange has found out about his misdeeds that have caused him to have these nightmares, and decides to kill him while his body is seperated from his spiritual self. Dr. Strange is helpless, and calls out to "the Master" to help him. The Master manages to open up Dr. Strange's amulet on his body, which stuns the man with the gun until the mystic can reunite his spiritual self with his host body. Once there, the man decides to turn himself in to authorities for his crimes.
