From the Mouths of the Marvels:

"As far as I'm concerned, I still don't trust you as far as I can throw you! And I'm going to report my suspicions to the Pentagon! I don't care how big a genius you're supposed to be!”

-- General "Thunderbolt" Ross, to Bruce Banner, pg. 10

Story Synopsis: As the Hulk rages and rails in his cave, turning slowly into Bruce Banner, General Thunderbolt Ross talks with his daughter Betty, trying to get her to go for a real man, not the "milksop" Banner. On cue, the scientist Banner walks in to finish work on a giant robot he has built. As Banner and Ross discuss the robot test, a secret agent spy in the shadows eavesdrops on them.

Later, Banner sits alone, and the stress of the day starts to mount upon him. He realizes it is this stress that is causing him to transform into the Hulk. He realizes he must control his emotions to keep the beast at bay. While working inside the robot, he sees the agent snooping outside and chases after him. As the tension of the chase builds up, he turns into the Hulk, at first fighting it, but then exulting in the power of the Hulk. He leaps off into the distant desert hills to plan "his next attack." Meanwhile, the agent senses opportunity with Banner gone, knocks out the armed guard and climbs into the robot shell.

The next morning, it is time to test the robot, and Ross waits as the robot- under the control of the agent- rolls out onto the grounds. They discover the armed guard that was knocked out, and realize that perhaps Banner- who is supposed to be inside the suit- has gone crazy. They send a tank out after the robot, but the giant, red metal creature demolishes it easily.

The Hulk sees the robot coming towards him and decides to attack it, but his mighty blows do little to dent the robot's armor. The robot tries to attack, but its movements are too slow to connect with the Hulk. Finally, the Hulk leaps on top of the robot and bangs away at it with little success, and the overall stress on the Hulk causes him to change back into Bruce Banner. He rolls down the hill, away from the robot, where he's discovered by MPs. Ross comes onto the scene and Banner tells him the robot has been stolen by a spy. Ross orders a patrol to hunt down the robot, and further warns Banner that he doesn't trust him one bit.
