From the Mouths of the Marvels:

"Farnum is the sort of client I like! He pays his bills promptly...doesn't rush us...and hasn't raised our rent in months! I wish we had more like him...Clients who aren't dangerous, unpredictable super-villains!"

-- Foggy, to Matt Murdock, p. 4

A wrestling match ain't no place for a blonde babe like Karen Page, but it ain't no place for a blind lawyer, either! What were they thinking?!?!?!

Synopsis: Using his incredible sensitivities of touch, combined with his radar sense, the blind super-hero Daredevil pilots the giant mechanical owl he escaped with from the Owl's volcanic isle (see DD #21). To Judge Lewis' amazement, they make a relatively safe landing, but Daredevil senses a booby trap bomb laid by the Owl, so they jump off in the nick of time before it explodes, saving both their lives. Karen and Foggy worry about where their friend and partner Matt Murdock has gone off to, a spell that is broken by a new client named Farnum, who checks in on business with Foggy. Farnum also happens to be their landlord, and Foggy appreciates how friendly he is.

Daredevil heads back to the law office late at night, climbing through the window. He resolves that it is time to finally tell Karen how he feels about her. Meanwhile, the Masked Marauder and Gladiator set up a scheme to impress the European crime syndicate the Maggia, who are currently leaderless. The Marauder's plan is to capture Daredevil by using the power of an android he has been working on called the Tri-Man. To power the Tri-Man, he kidnaps three delinquents, each with their own special abilities in crime: the Mangler, a wrestler; the Dancer, a nimble-footed cat burglar; and the Brain, a super-smart criminal.

Once they've been whisked to the lab by the power of the Marauder's Levitating Machine, he hooks them up to the Tri-Man android and pours their energy into his form. This done, he contacts the Maggia and informs him of the plan to capture Daredevil. They are impressed with his moxie, and await the results before making a decision.

Foggy heads off to a fight at Madison Square Garden, with Karen electing to stay behind to watch after Matt. She looks at him longingly, and she realizes that seeing him makes her think of Daredevil for some reason. Unknown to them, the Tri-Man is stalking his way to the Garden, and once there, he climbs into the ring, pushing the boxers out of the way and demanding at the top of his voice that Daredevil show up to fight him- or he will destroy all in the arena!

Matt and Karen hear this on the radio, forcing Matt to improvise in front of her in order to get to the arena to fight the Tri-Man. In a rush, he tells Karen to get the Daredevil costume that Foggy used to impersonate the hero. His plan is to dress as Daredevil in order to try to help save innocent life in case the "real Daredevil" doesn't show up. Karen is baffled by Matt's mad plan, but helps him nonetheless. They race through the crowd, with Matt- dressed as Daredevil- losing Karen in the crowd of people. When he leaps inside the ring to face the Tri-Man, the Masked Marauder and Gladiator monitor him on their video screen.

Daredevil uses a ton of patented acrobatic moves to work on the Tri-Man, but the android is powered by three men of exclusive talents, and proves to be a tough combatant. Having lost Matt, Karen immediately regrets helping with the plan, but is relieved to see the "real Daredevil" has shown up. Foggy sees her and races up to her side. The Masked Marauder sees the two of them on the video screen and recognizes them, and realizes there must be a connection between them and Daredevil, since Karen showed up with him to the Garden. Finally, DD gets Tri-Man on the ropes, but his victory is short-lived, for over the Garden's speaker system, the Marauder demands that Daredevil surrender, or he will kill Foggy Nelson and Karen Page!
