Synopsis: Three centuries in the future, an Earthman named Zarrko tires of the peace and prosperity of the planet he lives on. He decides to go back in time, back to when weapons were not outlawed on Earth, to get the armaments he will need to rule his time with absolute power. He decides to go back to Earth during the time of the nuclear bomb.
Thor assists the army in testing its missile batteries. While he's there, a time machine glimmers onto the desert floor next to the cobalt bomb, which is due to be tested next. Zarrko steps out of the pod and makes away with the C-Bomb, disappearing forward in time. Thor grabs a shard of material from the time-pod to determine where he must go to find the thief, and gets advice from almighty Odin on how to go forward in time. Odin instructs him to attach the metal to his hammer, and spin himself around as fast as he can, and sure enough, Thor arrives in Zarrko's time period.
It is 2262, and Zarrko has used the threat of the cobalt bomb to dominate the planet. Thor tells the frightened citizens that he has a plan....but Zarrko sends his armed guards to handle the threat of Thor. As they chase Thor down, a mysterious figure knocks a tree over in their way. Thor and the mystery man make their way up to Zarrko's palace, where Zarrko focuses all his attention on subduing Thor inside his room of magnetic mirrors. He doesn't capture the real Thor, however, only a citizen posing as Thor! The real Mighty Thor- the one hidden in the robe- takes the advantage of surprise and destroys some important machinery. Zarrko runs away into a room full of giant robots, and one robot actually wrests Mjolnir from his grip!
Thor finds a water pipe inside the floor and breaks it, causing a flood to destroy all the robots. He gets his hammer back before sixty seconds can elapse and tries to stop Zarrko before he can drop the cobalt bomb on Earth as punishment. Thor upends his flight craft and the cobalt bomb falls out, but before it can land on the surface, Thor catches it. Zarrko appears to have gone mad from the experience and is led away into custody. The people of Earth in 2262 hail Thor as a hero, and he goes back in time and returns the C-Bomb to the military.
Don Blake returns to his office and asks Jane Foster if "anything happened" while he was gone.
