Avengers #12: "Old Entanglements"
The Avengers have to track down Hawkeye, who is wrapped up with the suspicious
Thunderbolts. They find him with the team setting up a base in Colorado, and after
coming to terms with his involvement with the former super-villains as their team
leader, they have to pursue a giant robot, Dominex, left over from Lucifer's Dominus
base.
Avengers #13: "Lords & Leaders" Justice and Firestar enjoy a night out of crime-fighting with their old team the New Warriors when they stumble upon an AIM intrigue. But the crisis escalates when a strange being called Lord Templar comes on the scene, dispatching the AIM crew but also attacking the Warriors, and the Avengers when they come to the rescue.
Avengers #13: "Hi, Honey....I'm Hooooome!" The Beast pays a visit to his newly-revived-from-death buddy Wonder Man, and is swept up in the Avengers confrontation with a rampaging brute named Pagan in Times Square.
Avengers #15: "The Three-Fold Path" The Avengers set out on a fervent search for Pagan, and they trace his whereabouts to the grand opening of the worship temple for Jonathan Tremont's Triune Understanding. A battle breaks out when Pagan shows himself, with the Avengers buckling against his power and devastating the temple area. Lord Templar shows up, quickly defeating Pagan, and publicly embarassing the Avengers. AVENGERS #16-18, 0

Avengers #16: "Mistaken Identity" The Doomsday Man has returned to functionality after a long hibernation, and enlists the aid of the Wrecking Crew to locate the target of an old grudge- Ms. Marvel. The Crew accidentally kidnap Captain Marvel- aka Photon- and when the Doomsday Man tries to teleport them away, Scarlet Witch's chaos magic sends them off somewhere far different!
Avengers #17: "Cage of Freedom" The Avengers follow the path of the Wrecking Crew- who hold Photon hostage- to Arkon's land, where they find that the Wrecking Crew have totalled the kingdom and enslaved Arkon, all under the power and influence of the Grand Vizier. Meanwhile, the retinue of Avengers still on Earth struggle to free Carol Danvers from the grip of Doomsday Man, who has finally caught up with her.
Avengers #18: "The Battle for Imperion City!" It's a battle royal to restore power to Arkon and rescue Photon, with the Avengers and Thundra leading the way!

Script: Kurt Busiek The Avengers pick up the pieces in the aftermath of the Triune Understanding debacle. Scarlet Witch and Wonder Man discover that Simon's brother- the Grim Reaper- has been the victim of a violent abduction. And the rest of the team is pressed into duty to defeat eco-terrorists led by the villain Firebrand. All this while under the watchful eye of Ultron, poised to make his move... Avengers #19: "This Evil Renewed" Black Panther's manufacturing plant is levelled by Alkhema, and the Avengers must rush to save him and gather the meaning of the mounting threat posed by Ultron.
Avengers #20: "This Evil Unfolding" The Avengers meet with Pentagon brass to discuss the absolute annihilation of the Eastern European nation of Slorenia at the hands of Ultron and his army of robots. A United Nations battle force is mustered to help face the threat. Meanwhile, a contigent of Avengers- Vision, Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man and Wasp- are investigating the disappearance of Hank Pym when they are kidnaped by a cadre of Ultron robots.
Avengers #21: "This Evil Unveiled" The squad of Avengers led by Cap head into what remains of Slorenia to take on Ultron head-to-head. After a mighty and exhausting fight, they manage to destroy Ultron-16, but find out that there are hundreds more Ultrons to take his place! Meanwhile, Alkhema is broken out of her prison by her robot army.
Avengers #22: "This Evil Triumphant!" The Vision is able to free his teammates from Ultron's bondage, and they unite with the rest of the Avengers to try and finish him off.
