Later at night, Turk races off to an amusement park at Coney Island to tell his boss, Eric Slaughter, that Daredevil is on the way and he knows about Bullseye. Slaughter slaps Turk and tells him it's quite obvious that DD just used him to track his way to their location. Sure enough, Daredevil hops down amongst Slaughter's men and puts them away in his inimitable style. He turns to ask Slaughter where Bullseye is and has his question answered when he overhears the Astrotower ride lifting its way up into the sky. He races up the side of the pole to gain entry to the place where he thinks Bullseye might have Black Widow. On his way up, Slaughter's men fire at him, amazed that he's able to make it past their fusillade of bullets. The ride starts to drop down towards him at a high rate of speed, and he leaps to the side, catching onto a ferris wheel. When he lands on firmer ground, he hears Bullseye taunt him over the loudspeaker. Suddenly, DD realizes where Black Widow has been kept: he senses her form being tied down to a roller coaster track with a rail car bearing down on her. It's filled with Slaughter's men, all firing guns at DD as he races to save Natasha. He leaps into the car and bashes down the thugs, then jumps clear, neglecting to save the Black Widow from the car slamming into her body and knocking her to the ground below.

In a rage, Bullseye realizes that Daredevil caught on to the fact that it was a dummy, not the real Black Widow. Frustrated once again that he was stymied by Daredevil, he still has her in his captivity.

Meanwhile, Ben Urich interviews an old janitor at Fogwell's Gym, the training gym for Battlin' Jack Murdock. The old gentleman named K.O. fills Urich in on the life and times of Battlin' Jack, including his son Matt and the way he used to be bullied as a kid, when he received the pet name "Daredevil"....

Back at Coney Island, Bullseye orders his stooges to kill Black Widow. The thug named Cutter tosses a series of knives at her, but she uses her athletic wiles to lift herself up by the ropes tying her to the wall and cut the edge of the rope against Cutter's misses. Broken free, she dispatches all of Bullseye's thugs in quick fashion. Just as Bullseye is about to take care of her by himself, Daredevil has found his hideout and grabbed hold of his hand with his billy club's cord. As Natasha takes care of the parade of thugs trying to help Bullseye, Daredevil lashes out at his longtime foe. The fight goes both ways, with Bullseye grabbing hold of DD's billy club and beating him on the skull with it, demanding Daredevil admit he's the better man.

But Daredevil launches a retaliation that is punishing in its ferocity. With words and fists, Daredevil pushes Bullseye into a corner in front of all Slaughter's men. He picks up a gun and cocks the trigger, but Daredevil can sense his overwhelming fear, and his slow slip into insanity. He walks towards Bullseye and tells him nothing he can do will stop him, the Daredevil will always keep coming. Bullseye shouts to Slaughter's men to shoot to kill, but Slaughter refuses, telling him if he wants him dead so bad, he should do it himself. Inevitably, Bullseye breaks down, begging Daredevil not to hurt him.

As Daredevil apprehends Bullseye, he promises Slaughter that they will meet again.
